Ring size guide

International ring size conversion

Use this table to compare US and Canada ring sizes with inner diameter, EU, UK, Australia, and Japan sizing. UK and Australia use the same letter system, so they are combined into one clean column.

US / Canada Inner diameter EU UK / Australia Japan
6 16.5 mm / 0.65 in 52 L 12
7 17.3 mm / 0.68 in 54 N 14
8 18.1 mm / 0.71 in 57 P 16
9 19.0 mm / 0.75 in 59 R 19
10 19.8 mm / 0.78 in 62 T 21
11 20.6 mm / 0.81 in 64 V 23
12 21.4 mm / 0.84 in 67 X 25
13 22.2 mm / 0.87 in 69 Z 27
Inner diameter is measured across the inside of the ring. Ring size conversions are approximate. If you are between sizes, choose the larger size, especially for wider bands.

How to measure

Measure the inside diameter of a ring that already fits well, or measure the finger at the end of the day when it is at its largest. The ring should slide over the knuckle with slight resistance and sit comfortably at the base of the finger.

Quick fit notes

  • US 6–7: smaller fit range.
  • US 8–10: common range for many men’s rings.
  • US 11–13: better for larger fingers or a roomier fit.

Between sizes

If unsure, choose the larger size for a more comfortable fit.

Best time to measure

Measure at the end of the day when fingers are naturally a little larger.

Important note

Sizing can vary slightly depending on the ring width and fit style.
